A few days back I happened to visit the beautiful city of Lahore. As a friend of mine, Moazzum Rauf says, Rickshaws are the real road shuttles of Pakistan! As my husband was working late and had to look after our daughter in the morning while I was gone to my university so I decided to take a rickshaw. When it comes to finding a rickshaw in torrid weather of Lahore, I usually take the first one that approaches, if the driver is not ridiculously over charging me, which happens mostly when I am wearing jeans. Young people influenced by 'western culture', which is usually judged by the clothes they are wearing, are thought to be not so street smart and thus easily fooled. Mostly called 'burgers' or 'mummy daddy', referring to their supposedly preferred choice of food and terms for mother and father! Anyway, I got in the rickshaw and to my utter delight, it was missing a door! Here are some pics that I took

Wall chalking is the graffiti of Pakistan. Mostly pseudo religious slogans or miracle workers' adverts for the ultimate cure of so called diseases related to the sexual performance of men are the most popular 'art' seen scribbled on the walls!

On my way back, I got a rickshaw with both doors in place and a big metalic heart outlined right behind the driver's seat!
